From Financial Control to Enterprise Value Creation
Group Finance Director
Mohamed A. Soliman is a Group Finance Director and CFO-track executive with more than two decades of GCC experience across Oil & Gas, contracting, manufacturing, real estate and multi-entity businesses.
His career has evolved from audit and financial control into strategic finance, governance, capital planning, business transformation and executive decision support. He works at the intersection of finance, operations, data and institutional trust — helping businesses strengthen their financial foundations, improve visibility and prepare for sustainable growth.

Mohamed began his career in external audit, where he developed a disciplined approach to evidence, financial integrity and internal control.
He then moved into commercial finance roles across trading, manufacturing and project-based businesses in Kuwait. During six years in manufacturing, he worked closely with plant operations and applied standard costing, variance analysis and operational benchmarking to help reduce production costs by approximately 30%.
His later roles across interior fit-out, HVAC and engineering businesses expanded his experience in project accounting, percentage-of-completion reporting, treasury, working capital, ERP environments and management reporting. In one major contract-review initiative, he examined more than 2,500 customer contracts and helped resolve approximately KD 3 million in revenue-recognition discrepancies through IFRS-aligned corrective action.
Leadership Approach
Finance should change business outcomes — not merely report them.
Mohamed's leadership philosophy is grounded in a simple principle: strong finance leadership must create clarity, discipline and confidence across the organization. This means combining accurate reporting with commercial judgement, reliable forecasting, governance, risk awareness and practical execution.
His approach is analytical and evidence-led. He studies performance through financial and operational indicators, benchmarks results, identifies gaps, traces root causes and converts findings into structured decisions for management. Recommendations must translate into accountable actions, operating procedures, controls and measurable follow-through.
Technology & Finance
A distinctive part of Mohamed's profile is his early background as a certified PowerBuilder associate developer. That technical foundation gave him a deeper understanding of databases, application logic, data architecture, process design and systems integration.
These capabilities later strengthened his work in ERP modernisation, Power BI, DAX, executive dashboards and automated reporting. He does not view finance systems as purely technical tools — he sees them as management infrastructure: the connection between business activity, financial control and executive decision-making.
This allows him to work effectively across finance, technology and operations and to translate business requirements into practical systems and reporting solutions.
